My work is fabricated from sterling silver, textured, and then inlaid with a variety of found, new, and re-purposed materials including glass beads, pearls, and dichroic glass, all of which are embedded in a matrix of black polymer and accented with semi-precious stones and 18 karat gold.

Inspiration for these pieces is found in the natural world around me — in the garden, in architectural forms, textile patterns, and from the act of collecting. My desire to liberate these collections from the small glass jars in my studio drives me to create the settings for these tiny objects. Newly re-combined, these treasures can now be experienced in an entirely different context, whether they are pearls purchased from a supplier, glass shards from a scrap box, or black sand from a remote beach in Iceland, they are set in silver and gold as respectfully as if they were precious gems, ready to shimmer anew.
