Artist Statement:
I think of my work as abstract expressionism for jewelry.
Influenced by the American modern painting movement and the
powerful 2-D images of graphic design in our culture, I am
inspired to create jewelry reflecting these impressions on
me. My concepts of jewelry as art do not limit the means of
wearability, rather, allow us to wear jewelry reflecting our
passion for modern art. I'm interested in organic and urban
senses meshing with our love of color and the sense of
balance we carry in our lives.
