Leigh
Griffin |
|
In 1989, after 15 years as a flight attendant, Leigh
found herself out of the work she loved when Eastern
Airlines
closed its doors on history.
Leigh spent the next year in contemplation, playing
her flute, considering what to do next with her
life. During this time she kindled a long burning
desire to become an artist and began her journey
toward the successful artist and goldsmith that she
is today.
Leigh’s interest in jewelry also led to years of
work experience at jewelry art galleries, including
Illumina Gallery and currently Topaz
Gallery. Through this experience, Leigh has
gained knowledge and understanding of the work of
many of the country’s best jewelry artists.
Leigh lives in Atlanta’s historic Grant Park
neighborhood and is active in community affairs.
She has been involved in the organization of the
Grant Park Tour of Homes and the planning for this
year’s neighborhood celebration The Mothball.
Leigh brings her skill at organization, a vast
knowledge of jewelry and gemstones, and her
resilient spirit and drive to the ACJS directors’
team.
